Wexford has made the shortlist in four categories in the 2012 LAMA Awards
The Local Authorities Members Association Awards is in its sixth year and the awards commend individuals, attractions, initiatives, communities and projects in their achievements.
The 2012 award ceremony, hosted by well- known television personality Miriam O’Callaghan, will take place on February 11 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin.
FOUR of Wexford’s finest have made it into the 2012 shortlist.
The fantastic Enniscorthy Castle has been shortlisted for a 2012 Local Authority Members Association (LAMA) award for Best Tourist Attraction and is vying with six other attractions from across the country for the Best Tourist Attraction award.
Kilmore Quay Playground has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Public Playground Facility’ category. This brilliant facility is also vying for a win with 6 other finalists from across Ireland.
Wexford County Council has been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Authority and the beautiful Wexford County Council HQ has been shortlisted in the best public building category.
