The Easter Holidays are coming up and there are a host of events happening all across Wexford from the 10k Rosslare Road Race on Easter Monday 25th April in Rosslare Strand at 1100am. The race is open to individuals, team relays and walkers, everyone is welcome. There will also be a kid’s fun run on the beach.

Wexford Light pear Presents: The Mikado – Wexford Light Opera Society are celebrating their centenary this year (2011) and will produce “The New Mikado” in Wexford Opera House from 25th- 30th April at 8pm nightly as part of their centenary celebrations. This is one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most popular operas and the production will be given a a new twist by this multi award winning society.

Hook Lighthouse Visitor Centre will host Maritime Matters – This 2 day festival showcases the rescue services, fun for all the family, strongman competition, local crafts, local food, live music with some of Ireland’s hottest bands. This year there will be lots of activities for children such as art and craft workshops with Bui Bolg, a ropes course, a climbing wall, storytelling, medieval combat displays. Chef Kevin Dundon will be doing a seafood cookery demonstration
